Birmingham Alabama's Own
Steel City Quartet

Birmingham Alabama's own Steel City Quartet was founded on Janurary 1, 2000. Our quartet travelled and performed an average of 70 dates per year for 12 years (end of 2011), at which time i decided to take some time off due to my daughter's illness. Jessica, my daughter, suffered kidney failure at 21 years old and had been on dialysis for 2 years. Between her serious health issues and my business responsibilities, I had to take a break. After taking a few weeks off God began to answer prayers in a tremendous way. First of all, we discovered the transplant group at Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville, TN. They approved my son as the donor and he gave his sister one of his kidneys in  August  2012. The transplant was a success and both son and daughter recovered and continue doing well. Also, during my time off I was thrilled to be able to fill in with Mr. Buck Smith and his Royal Masters Quartet. I was sure we would not sing as much as Steel City always did, but, turns out we stayed pretty busy over the past couple years. As many of you probably know, Buck suffered a stroke a few months ago and has decided to retire has Royal Masters Quartet at the end of this year.  So,,,,,,,,,

Stay tuned for an announcement toward the end of the year....I will give you the date of the anouncement here on this site.
